COGEPHA is implementing a climate-resilient strategy with a carbon footprint reduction action plan. Concerned about its environmental impact, COGEPHA is committed to contributing effectively to the reduction of GHG (greenhouse gas) emissions through the progressive redeployment of its distribution fleet and the adoption of electric vehicles.
The signing of a partnership in 2022 with the world's leading electric tricycle manufacturer consolidates COGEPHA's pioneering position in its business sector and will enable it to achieve its 2030 carbon balance objectives. This partnership represents a decisive step in the company's ecological transition, combining logistics performance with environmental responsibility.
COGEPHA's environmental action plan is based on several strategic axes. First, the progressive replacement of combustion vehicles with electric vehicles for urban deliveries. Second, the optimization of delivery routes through intelligent algorithms that reduce kilometers traveled. Third, the installation of solar panels on warehouses to cover part of energy needs.
Since launching this initiative, COGEPHA has already seen a significant reduction in CO2 emissions in urban distribution areas. Electric tricycles, perfectly suited for city center delivery, offer sufficient range to cover all daily routes while completely eliminating direct greenhouse gas emissions.
COGEPHA's environmental commitment is recognized by all players in the pharmaceutical sector in Tunisia and Africa. This proactive approach positions the company as a model of sustainable development in the pharmaceutical distribution industry, proving that it is possible to reconcile economic performance with ecological responsibility.
